ABOUT US
Willam Jam
2nd Annual
The 2nd Annual Willam Jam Music Festival is a multi-cultural climate and social justice fundraiser and benefit concert hosted by Portland, Oregon based organizations, Mosquito Fleet and Indigenous Peoples Project to raise funds for Environmental Justice, Landback and for our operations and programming expenses.
IP3 is raising funds to ensure the longevity of their new Landback Project as an Indigenous run and led space dedicated to upholding movement ideologies, land connection, reconnection, and rematriation. This project will continue IP3’s work of building capacity with Indigenous communities, networks, and partners with a sustainable base to gather, cultivate, and learn.
Mosquito Fleet is raising funds to support a summer of activity on the water including kayaktivism trainings, social paddles and the free kayak lending library.
Mosquito Fleet
The Mosquito Fleet is a regional network of paddlers, sailors, and community activists fighting for climate justice and a fossil-free Pacific Northwest. In the face of a global climate crisis, and an industry hell-bent on turning our region into a fossil fuel superhighway, we’re building a bold and broad-based movement that defends and empowers local communities.
We aim to dismantle the extractive economy by prioritizing indigenous sovereignty and protecting the health of our communities and ecosystems through creative on-water direct action and grassroots movement building. IP3
Indigenous Peoples Power Project (IP3) is a non-profit 501c3, nonviolent direct action training and support network advancing Indigenous community’s ability to exercise their inherent right to environmental justice, cultural livelihood, and self determination. Their mission is to provide nonviolent direct action training, campaign support, and community organizing tools to support Indigenous communities taking action in defense of their homelands. It is said that we come from the earth, that she is our mother. And when we pass, we come back to her. Our homelands call to us, just as we yearn for them when we travel too far. IP3 was born from the unwavering passion to care for and protect Mother earth. We know we are part of her, and we are only well when she is well. Our mother needs healing, as it is she who heals us.
That is IP3’s purpose, to continue the fight for our future, land, and water; teaching, training, and learning from each other, and our ancestors so we can protect her for future generations.
